Hand wash

You will not find the hand wash mark on any socks made by LINDNER. The socks made by us are made of selected yarns which are of course suitable for machine washing.

Fabric softener

Fabric softeners give a flowing, soft grip to textiles. However, negative effects could occur if they are used inaccurately. For instance, fabric softener separates incorporated spandex threads from the knitted fabric. This reduced the elasticity and, of course, deteriorates the looks of the socks.

Machine wash

If the washing agent is overdosed or underdosed, the washing effect is too high or too low and the textiles could be damaged. The amount of the washing agent depends on the degree of contamination and the hardness grade of the water. The quantities are explained on each washing agent package.

Due to the new generation of washing agents with an increased washing performance it is possible to avoid high temperatures when washing. For the care of your LINDNER socks, we generally recommend a washing temperature of 30 °C and the use of a delicate mode.

Discolouration during washing

You can considerably decrease the risk of an unattractive discolouration of mostly white items of clothing by:

  • never washing white textiles together with coloured textiles.
  • quickly rinsing the washing machine after washing heavily bleeding - mostly new - textiles. In doing so, existing colour residues in the washing machine are removed.
  • Regularly clean the lint filter as lint with residual colours could remain there.

Tumble drier

The high-quality LINDNER-socks made of premium-quality yarns require gentle drying and they are therefore generally unsuitable for tumble-drying.

Washing agent

LINDNER socks made of cotton or silk do not require a special treatment with regards to the use of a special washing agent. For our products made of wool or cashmere, we recommend a detergent for woollen fabrics and we ask you to use delicate mode.
